Our kindergartner came home yesterday with our city’s Spring 2013 recreation guide catalog. This is the community’s way of disseminating information about the different activities available. I browsed through it last night and they really have a lot of activities for kids and grown ups alike. You name it, from arts and crafts, cooking, sports, music, kids’ day camps, family tours to different spots around the state, outdoor adventures and many others.
I am looking at getting the kids enrolled for swimming and gymnastics or dancing and music. For this spring, the organizer introduced a new activity which is the Introduction to Electric Guitar. Good timing as I saw this electric guitar by gibson les paul studio here that I thought very nice to give to someone you love that likes to play this instrument. Our eldest showed interest playing the guitar but this activity is for 13 years old and up.
I am also thinking of piano lesson as a friend recommends a good piano teacher where her daughter go to. The problem is we don’t have piano or even a small digital one. If I enroll the kids we should also have something in the house for them to practice to. So I will see what will be the best alternative for them to keep them busy for this spring.
